The Indians Railways was conquested many valleys and transfixed through numerous mountains to provide connectivity. But the conquest over the daunting Himalayas has eluded IR for a long time. Indian Railways undertook the mega-project of construction of a new railway line in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, from Udhampur to Baramulla. The construction of the Chenab Bridge was started in 2002. The Chenab bridge stands at a height of 359 m which is 35 meters higher than Eiffel Tower of Paris!
